A. V. Koval, Doctor of Phys. Mat. Sci., Senior Researcher, Department of Atmospheric Physics, St. Petersburg State University. He is engaged in numerical modeling of the general circulation of the atmosphere, analysis of observational data, as well as retrospective analysis and assimilation of meteorological information to study various aspects of dynamic interactions between atmospheric movements.
He is the chairman of the section at the international conferences ISARD, St. Petersburg. Reviews scientific articles for the Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics, Atmospheric and Climate Sciences, etc. In 2020 and 2021 he received two awards from the Academic Council of St. Petersburg State University for publication activity and scientific achievements for young employees.

Published over 30 papers in scientific journals, including 5 articles in first quartile journals. He has experience in project management under grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Science Foundation, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
